Tour de France

Mont Ventoux in Provence is legendary as one of the most grueling climbs in the prestigious Tour de France bicycle race, which has been held annually since 1903. While the route changes every year, the winning cyclist always crosses the finish line on the Champs-Elysées in Paris.

The book’s depiction of Hudson riding in the race is a fantasy. Dogs are not allowed to ride in the race. Neither are women, and they are working to change that.
